To ensure the integrity of our platform, all users — upon receiving a valid invitation, creating an account, and using our services — declare that they have read, understood, and accepted these rules of use, as well as our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
These rules are compliant with:
• General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - EU 2016/679).
• • Digital Services Act (DSA - EU 2022/2065).
• • Law n.º 58/2019 (Implementation of the GDPR in Portugal).
• • Constitution of the Portuguese Republic (CRP).
• • Portuguese Penal Code and Law n.º 109/2009 (Cybercrime Law).
Fundamental Principles
Treat all comu members with courtesy and respect, even if you disagree with opinions expressed by other users.
Do not share content or engage in behaviors that could physically, emotionally, or financially harm other members.
Be who you are. It is not permitted to create fake profiles, impersonate third parties without authorization, or use with the intent to deceive or manipulate other users. Fraudulent use of identities may result in criminal liability.
Prohibited Conducts for all Users
Any content that attacks individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, belief, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age, or other characteristics protected by law will not be tolerated. This includes harassment, threats, persecution, and public humiliation.

Publication of any material that promotes, incites, or glorifies crimes, violence, terrorism, suicide, self-harm, sexual abuse, human trafficking, or child exploitation is prohibited.

It is not permitted to use automated systems, bots, or coordinated behavior to publish repetitive content, promote brands or products unsolicitedly, or manipulate votes, engagements, or post visibility.
We strongly recommend *AGAINST* the use of these services.
It is prohibited to knowingly and intentionally disseminate false or misleading news with the potential to cause relevant public harm. We use community verification tools *(fact-checking)* to combat this type of conduct.

It is not permitted to share personal data, private messages, photographs, videos, or location of other people without explicit consent. The publication of information that allows identifying third parties may constitute a crime.

Do not publish content that violates copyrights, trademarks, or protected works, except when authorized or within legal exceptions.
E.g.: educational use, quotation, critique.
Moderators and Community Creators
Moderators and creators of comus (communities) are central actors in the ecosystem. They play a role of social, educational, and regulatory leadership within the spaces they build.
All rules defined within a comu must be in consonance with these General Rules, with the Constitution of the Portuguese Republic, with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), with the Cybercrime Law (Law n.º 109/2009), and with the principles of the Digital Services Act (DSA).
Each comu must publicly and accessibly present its internal rules, approved and moderated by its administrator. These norms must prioritize transparency, balance, and respect for human dignity.
Creators and moderators are administratively and legally liable, within the limits provided by law, if they maintain, encourage, or omit action against illicit or abusive conduct within the community under their management.
Reports and Penalties for all Users
adopts a moderate, fair, and transparent accountability policy for users, moderators, and advertisers alike.
All content that infringes these rules can be reported via the ⚠️ icon. The system allows:
- Report registration by any user.
- Initial evaluation by platform intelligence and local moderation.
- Forwarding, when necessary, to the {logo} Compliance Team.
- Drawing of community arbitrators in cases of reports from comu members, under the terms of the *fact-checking* system.
Consequences for infractions vary according to **severity, recidivism, and intentionality**:
- Educational warning (with explanation of the irregular conduct).
- Content moderation (partial or total removal of the publication).
- Functionality limitation (comments, posts, invitations).
- Temporary account suspension.
- Permanent suspension and banishment.
- Referral to competent authorities when there is evidence of criminal offenses, such as hate speech, child pornography, threats, fraud, persecution, among others.
No penalty will be applied without the due justification and internal case record. Users will have the right to prior notification, access to the infraction history, and a formal channel for defense and appeal.
Rights for all Users
recognizes that its users are not just consumers, but holders of fundamental rights, including those provided for in the Portuguese Constitution, the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, and the GDPR.
The user has the right to know what data is collected, why, for how long, and where it is stored. They can also request access, correction, or deletion of their data at any time.
Every moderation, sanction, or change in the rules will always be communicated to the user with clear language and means to appeal, should they wish.
Users have the right to contest penalties through official platform channels. Contests will be analyzed by humans, respecting the principles of due process, impartiality, and proportionality.
recognizes that every user has the right to create, participate in, and leave comus freely, except when legally prevented by disciplinary or judicial measure.
Freedom of Expression with Responsibility for all Users
respects and defends freedom of expression as a democratic pillar, but recognizes that it must be balanced with the civil, penal, and digital responsibility of every user who uses the platform.
- Justified political and social criticism.
- Humor, irony, and satire that do not violate human rights.
- Unpopular or minority opinions, as long as they are not offensive or illegal.
- Slander, defamation, and insult (Arts. 180 to 182 of the Penal Code).
- Incitement to violence, war, or discrimination.
- Deliberate disinformation with harmful collective impact.
- Advocacy of crimes or totalitarian ideologies (e.g.: Nazism, terrorism)
If there is a conflict between freedom of expression and the right to honor, privacy, integrity, or non-discrimination, will follow the principles of constitutional balancing, always based on Portuguese and European jurisprudence.
Rule Updates for all Users
The digital environment is constantly evolving. To ensure the alignment of with society, the Rules of Use may be updated periodically, respecting the following principles:
Every change will be notified to users through the platform's official channels with accessible language and a summary of the changes.
Previous versions will remain publicly archived, with date and effective registration.
If the user does not agree with significant changes, they may close their account and request the deletion of all their data, as guaranteed by Art. 17 of the GDPR *(right to erasure)*.
No update may restrict fundamental rights or legalize abuses. Every new rule will follow the constitutional, civil, penal, and digital limits established by Portugal and the European Union.
